Lufeng World Dinosaur Valley is located in the dinosaur mountain of Chuanjie Township Ana Village, 23 kilometers south of Lufeng County, Chuxiong Prefecture, next to Kunchu Expressway, 68 kilometers from Chuxiong City, with a total scenic area of 3.6 square kilometers and an investment of 500 million RMB in the first phase of the core scenic area, which was completed and opened on April 18, 2008. The World Dinosaur Valley recreates a lost Jurassic era. World Dinosaur Valley is a dinosaur cultural tourism theme park integrating site protection, sightseeing and leisure, science popularization and scientific research, etc. It is a national 4A level tourist attraction. The park is divided into two areas: "Dinosaur Ruins Scientific Research and Tourism Area" and "Jurassic World Tourism Area". Since 1938, more than 120 complete dinosaur fossils have been unearthed in Lufeng, spanning three periods: early, middle and late Jurassic. In 2004, Lufeng was announced as the third batch of National Geopark Museum.
