Manting Park is located in the southeast of Jinghong City, the capital of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, about 2 kilometers from the city. It is in the triangle of the confluence of Lancang River and Liosha River and covers an area of more than 400 acres. There are more than 500 well-preserved ancient iron knife woods and vegetation, hills and rivers in the garden, and a rich humanistic landscape with ethnic characteristics, a natural village park, formerly the Dai King's Royal Garden, which has a history of more than 1300 years. The scenic spot concentrates on the three themes of "Dai royal culture, Buddhist culture and Dai folk culture". The park is the oldest park in Xishuangbanna, and the Dai people used to call it "Chun Huan", meaning "Garden of Souls", which used to be the royal garden of the Dai King of Xishuangbanna. It is said that the beautiful scenery attracted the soul of the princess when she came to visit, hence the name.
