Pudacuo National Park is located in the center of the "Three Rivers" World Natural Heritage in northwest Yunnan, and is composed of two parts: the Bitahai Nature Reserve, an internationally important wetland, and the Gentoo Lake Scenic Area of the Haba Area of the "Three Rivers" World Natural Heritage, with the Bitahai, Gentoo Lake and Yili Tang Subalpine Ranch as the main components, which is also one of the main attractions of Shangri-La. The elevation is between 3,500m and 4,159m, and it is a provincial nature reserve and an important part of the "Three Rivers" scenic spot. Pudacuo National Park has geological features, lakes and wetlands, forests and meadows, rivers and streams, rare flora and fauna, etc. The original ecological environment is well preserved. It is 22 kilometers from the urban area of Shangri-La City, with a total area of about 1,313 square kilometers. Pudacuo Gendu Lake (walking length about 3.3 km) and Bitahai (national 5A tourist area, walking length about 4.4 km) are the main components, with elevation between 3500m and 4159m, which is a provincial nature reserve and an important part of the "Three Rivers" scenic spot. The total area under management of the planning area is 1313 square kilometers, which is developed according to 7 major sections, and the developed area only accounts for 3‰ of the total area. The park has geological landforms, lakes and wetlands, forests and meadows, river valleys and streams, rare plants and animals, etc. The original ecological environment is well preserved. The climate of the reserve is sub-temperate, with long autumn and winter but short spring and summer. The average annual temperature is 5.4℃, the average monthly temperature in the hottest month (July) is 13.2℃, and the average monthly temperature in the coldest month (January) is -3.8℃. Pudacuo National Park can be divided into a total of three tourist attractions following the tour bus, namely Gentoo Lake, Grassland Viewpoint, and Bitahai. Each tour bus has a guide to explain the landscape of the attractions for travelers in general. Zhidu Lake There are three ways to view the scenery. The first is to follow the bus to watch roughly, the second is to take the bridge on the lake, tour down roughly need 1 hour and 30 minutes, the third is to advance about 500 meters can take a boat to view the scenery. Bita Sea Bita Sea is famous for the rhododendron trees all over the mountain, every May and June the rhododendron flowers bloom, the petals fall into the lake, the fish will eat the belly floating on the surface, called "rhododendron drunk fish". Bita Sea is the last attraction in Pudacuo, the longest tour time is about 2 to 3 hours. Visitors usually bring their own food. Cultural Village When you enter the Tibetan cultural village, it is like walking into the ancient simplicity, into the life, into the colorful folklore paintings. Although this is a humanistic landscape outside the scenic spot of Pudacuo Park, it is extraordinarily amorous against the natural landscape. In the rather Tibetan-style mansion, the carving process and finished products of woodwork, thangka and yak horn bone are displayed, highlighting the wisdom and art of the Tibetan nation. That guards a number of mani stone piles beside the scenic spot, the never-ending turning barrels by the stream, carrying the faith and trust of the Tibetan people, at this moment, the rich religious atmosphere itself is a human landscape.
