Yulong Snow Mountain is a group of snow mountains in Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, the eastern boundary of the Li (Jiang) Ming (sound) road, west of the Tiger Leaping Gorge Stream, south of Yu Lake, north to the mouth of the Tiger Leaping Gorge under the large tool, is located in the north of Lijiang about 15 km, 75 km long, is the nearest equatorial year-round snow mountain range in the northern hemisphere, across the west and Zhongdian Snow Mountain, east and Mianmian Mountain side by side, the north from the mouth of the three rivers, extending south to 27 ° north latitude, such as a fan to the ancient city It spreads out. Yulong Snow Mountain is called "Olu" in Naxi language, meaning "Heavenly Mountain". Its thirteen snow-capped peaks are like a "giant dragon" flying over and over, so it is called "Jade Dragon". Because of its lithology is mainly limestone and basalt, black and white, so also known as "black and white snow mountain". It is the sacred mountain of the Naxi people and is said to be the incarnation of the Naxi protector "Sanduo".
In 1984, Yunnan Yulong Xueshan Provincial Nature Reserve was established, and in 2001, Yulong Xueshan was rated as a 4A tourist attraction, and in May 2007, it became one of the first 5A tourist attractions in China.
