Yiren Ancient Town is located in Yunnan Chuxiong Economic and Technological Development Zone, north of Yong'an Avenue, west of Sun Calendar Park, east of Longchuan River and south of Chuda Expressway. Covering an area of 3161 mu, with a total construction area of 1 million square meters, the project was built in 2004 and developed and operated by Weiguang Huitong Group with a total investment of 3.2 billion RMB, which is a cultural tourism project integrating commercial, residential and cultural tourism. Yiren Ancient Town is a special town with ancient architecture as the platform and Yi culture as the "soul", integrating cultural scenic spot, tourism distribution center and urban living room, which has become a beautiful city card of Chuxiong. In 2017, the Yiren Ancient Town had 11.5 million tourist trips, solved the employment and living life of nearly 20,000 people, and pushed upstream and downstream industrial investment of about 10 billion yuan. In the first half of 2018, Yi Ren Ancient Town received a total of 6,451,600 tourists, becoming an important engine for pulling the development of local industries in Chuxiong and creating employment for residents based on cultural tourism.
